What are Blogs?

Blogs are mini websites. They are free, easy to use and update automatically and can be shared with others by simply providing the blog address. The majority of blog sites offered a variety of  page styles to fit almost any users theme (profile). All you need a blog is to start a verifiable email address. Blogs or “weblogs” are online journals that allow other people to read your thoughts and reply to them. Because blogs are not private they are not a place to put personal private thoughts but a place to talk about ideas you want to share with the rest of the world.

  •   Tell people about your trip around the world or what it is like to live in different country
  •   Share some your ideas about a topic like politics or religion
  •   Talk about your hobby and share some tips
  •   Put art, music or video to share your creations or interests
  •   Link to other interesting sites on the internet and discuss them
  •   Promote and sell something you created
  •   Write stories or poems
How are Blogs used ?
Traditionally, blogs are used as something like an online dairy . they included links that the author had found interesting that day as well as life stories. But as blogs become more and more popular, business started to use them. The first industry to realy embrace blogs was the news media. Journalists post their stories to the bogs and readers subscribe to the blog news feed to receive up-to the minute information on a variety of topics. Now blogs are used for many different purposes

  •   News feeds
  •   Hourly, daily, weekly, updates of websites
  •   New information on topic
  •   Product updates, reviews, news vision, new products
  •   This day I  history
  •   Birthdays and other special events
  •   Almost anything you can think of

What do I need to set up a blog ?
Since blogs are web pages, all you really need to set up a blog is a computer, space on a web hosting server for your pages and time to create the blog. But there is an easier way to go. There are numerous applications created to help you build a blog. One of the exist is Blogger.com. this site allow you to set up a weblog in about 10 minutes. Radio Userland is an other popular hosted option.
